After many years of struggling to conceive, Madeline and Harry thought the company, Picture Perfect, could make their dream a reality: a model child to call their own. Despite their best efforts to do everything right, Madeline and Harry must now grapple with the realization that parenthood is the antithesis of perfection and decide if they are up to facing an unknown future together, as a family.

About the Authors…
Lauren Bergquist is co-founder and co-executive producer of RELATED: ADOPTION STORIES FOR THE STAGE, with Samantha Goldstein. RELATED explores the complexity of the lived adoption experience from diverse perspectives, including Lauren’s ten-minute play, IT ONLY TAKES ONE. The production played to sold-out audiences at North Park Vaudeville Theatre in 2022.
N.T. Vandecar is a graduate of Webster University with a BA in Playwriting. His historical fiction play, THE GREAT COMIC BOOK WAR OF 1954, made it into the Top 10 of ScreenCraft’s 2020 national playwriting competition. Most recently he became a Dramatist Guild Member this past February.
