(Honorable Mention) \nA neighbor’s ratty looking shorts sparks intrigue and leads to a stagnant couple’s re-thinking their life plans. \n“THE BRIDESMAID’S DILEMMA” by Amy Dell (Finalist). A guilt-ridden bridesmaid struggles with whether to reveal to her sister\, the bride\, the real reason she questions her pick of grooms\, just minutes before she is set to walk down the aisle. \nAbout the authors: \n Roxanne Pratt\, of Encinitas\, California\, enjoys writing one act comedies focusing on social foibles\, relationships and animal-human interactions. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor and a Certified Health Education Specialist specializing in children\, teens\, young adults and parenting. She previously worked in the television news industry. \nAmy Dell has been performing as an actor in San Diego theatres since moving here in 2007. However\, she is excited to be writing creatively again and has been inspired by hearing the work of other San Diego writers while participating in programs provided by The Scripteasers and the Old Globe’s Community Voices Program.
