THE SCRIPTEASERS
Founded in 1948, THE SCRIPTEASERS, is a San Diego-based writers’ development group dedicated to helping dramatic writers refine their craft. Playwrights, screenwriters, actors and theater lovers are all welcome to our bi-monthly readings.
Each play read receives a moderated discussion after a full reading. The audience and cast members are invited to give the author feedback on what they felt worked well in the script and what might be improved.
ALL ARE WELCOME
UPDATE:
Our hiatus is over and we’re swinging into our 2026-2027 season of readings.
Our Judges have read all the plays and selected the winners. Pop on over to our contest page and check out the lineup.
Thank you again to all the authors who entrusted us with their work, and we hope to be featuring their scripts in our upcoming readings.
Welcome to fall and please join us for our regular readings on the second and fourth Sundays of the month. Check back here for the dates and times.
