    About the Author...

    • John Molina
      is a Chula Vista playwright.  His first play, Rude Dog, was produced following a Scripteasers reading in 2001.  Since then, he has had five plays in the North Park Playwright Festival and his play, Our Mission Statement, was an Honorable Mention in the Show Off! International Playwriting Festival (2015) in San Juan Capistrano.  The First Handshake, written during the pandemic, was a finalist in the 2021 Stage It! 5 Ten-Minute Play Festival in Bonita Springs, FL, was published by the festival, and received a staged reading in 2022 in their Reading Series.  The First Handshake received a second staged reading at the 2023 Redlands Theatre Festival.
