OURSELVES, AGAIN, by Jean Seager

In the turbulent 1970s, when the Vietnam War is losing support at home, Zeke Matthews, a 22- year-old draftee in Vietnam, copes with a platoon leader whose actions put the soldiers in danger. Zeke tries to address the problem, with horrific results. All of this occurs against a backdrop of his remorse and guilt at the death of a high school classmate.

Katharine Rex is an improviser, an actor and most recently, a playwright.
A native Californian, Jean Seager has been writing plays for the past five years as a member of the “Around the Block” writing group of the Playwrights Project. She received an Honorable Mention in the 2018 Scripteasers Short Play contest, a Judge’s Award in the 2019 contest and was a finalist in the 2019 San Diego Center for Jewish Culture Five-Minute Play Festival. She is a published author of short stories in both online and print magazines.
