Often, authors who have had their plays read at a Scripteasers reading have exciting new opportunities find them, and often go on to have their works read at larger venues in different locations. The Scripteasers is proud to post news of these successes (recent, past or future) on an anytime basis.
We’d like to promote notable events from anyone in the ST Community – Actors, Directors, Authors and more, so feel free to send us notice at info@scripteasers.org.

THE SCRIPTEASERS’ own AMY DELL is featured in The Lamplighters Theater Production of Arthur Miller’s famous drama, THE CRUCIBLE
Mark your calendar for INDUSTRY NIGHT on January 29th. Let’s have a SCRIPTEASERS CONTINGENT show up!
Directed by: Melissa Malloy
Produced by: Pamela Stompoly
January 12 through February 4, 2024
Age 14+. Run time 3 hours including a 15 minute intermission.
Written in 1953, it is a dramatized and fictionalized retelling of the Salem witch trials that took place in Massachusetts Bay Colony in 1692-93. The majority of the characters are real historical figures. Miller wrote the play as an allegory for McCarthyism. It is regarded as a central work in the canon of American drama. It’s a story of one man’s struggle toward grace. It renders human struggles both internal and external: a community galvanized by fear and suspicion, a wife betrayed by lust, an orphan girl blind with passion and obsessed with revenge, ruthless prosecutors, deluded holy men, and covetous neighbors. Our director has updated once again, this time to 2020, where it appears the country is again seemingly divided and moving in two extreme directions.
PERFORMANCE DATES: January 12 through February 4, 2024
PERFORMING: Friday and Saturday at 8:00 pm; Sunday at 2:00 pm
TICKETS: General admission: $26; Students/Seniors/Military: $23;
Groups of 10 or more/same performance: $21
Featuring:
Amy Dell, Bryn Williams, Camelina Cedillo, Dani Ucman, Darlene Cleary, Floyd Strayer, Jerry Young, John Carroll, Katia Sky, Lina Hannegan, Linda Benning, Matt Sayre, Raymond Evans, Rielle Jarrett, Ruth Russell, Tom Kilroy, Yvonne Nguyen
AMY DELL just completed a run at POWPAC Theatre while featured in the hilarious play by Daniel Sullivan:
INSPECTING CAROL at POWPAC Nov 17th-Dec 10th 2023:
Fri, Sat 8:00pm; Sun Matinee 2:00pm; Sat Matinee Nov 25 & Dec 9 at 2PM
A Christmas Carol meets The Government Inspector meets Noises Off in this hilarious hit from Seattle. A man who asks to audition at a small theater is mistaken for an informer for the National Endowment for the Arts. Everyone caters to the bewildered wannabe actor, and he is given a role in the current production, A Christmas Carol. Everything goes wrong and hilarity is piled upon hilarity.
