    When the descendants of Venus recognize climate change affecting their weather-regulated commune, they must act quickly for a solution to protect their (potentially) historically fragile bodies.

  • INDISPENSABLE, by Jean Seager

    Joel, an older man, meets a young woman who reminds him of his lost daughter. While he deals with loneliness, she confronts poverty and single motherhood. The two develop a relationship that benefits them both.

    About the Authors...

    • Elena Sanchez
      is a writer based in San Diego, CA. She recently graduated from UC Berkeley as an English major, minoring in creative writing. Her passion for writing developed while attending San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts (SDSCPA) and a summer program at CalArts.  She recently completed an internship at the La Jolla Playhouse.

    • Jean Seager has been writing plays with the Playwrights Project’s “Around the Block Playwrights” for about six years. Her plays have won awards from Scripteasers, the Playground Experiment in New York and the San Diego Jewish short play festival. She has written a series of short stories with several of which have been published in online and in print format.
